  1. This archive contains the complete THINK C 4.0.4 source code for
  2. uupc 3.0.  Project files and archives are included.  Documentation
  3. and configuration files are _not_ included... you'll need to pick
  4. up those files from the uupc 3.0 binaries archive.

  6. Much of the C source code in this program is plug-ugly.  It started
  7. out life as a Unix-style program, was ported to the Mac, has
  8. been fiddled with by at least four and perhaps half-a-dozen
  9. different authors during its lifetime, and the seams show.  Much of
  10. it badly needs to be redesigned and rewritten... it's more than a
  11. trifle brittle in places.  Don't say I didn't warn you!

  13. If you come up with any source modifications, patches, changes,
  14. ideas, etc., I'd certainly like to hear about them, although (as I
  15. said in the README) I don't promise to fix or change anything save by
  16. my own whims.

  18. I may do some further work on uupc in the post-3.0 era... perhaps
  19. adding Macintosh Communications Toolbox support, or MacTCP support,
  20. or new protocols... but then again, I may not.  Other projects beckon...
